Mission Accomplished!
From the amount of different brands of Apple iPod's available on today's vast and ever-growing market for technology, one would come to think that transferring songs from your iTunes on your personal computer or laptop would be a very tedious task to accomplish, but in all honesty, coming from someone who is NOT computer literate in any way at all; this task is VERY simple to accomplish, and not only that, compared to regular MP3 and MP4 Players, it is VERY fast to accomplish also!
When you purchase your iPod, no matter what brand, you can guarantee that in the box that you purchased, along with of course your essentials, you will have a USB cable. This USB cable plugs into one of the USB ports on the front or back of your computer tower or laptop system, and this is simply step one of accomplishing your oh so simple task!
If you do not have iTunes installed on your system already, then as soon as you connect your iPod and your PC reads the USB port to find out what device it is (no drivers should need to be installed for basic Vista and XP users), the launch page for iTunes should start up immediately, giving you the chance to download and install iTunes at no extra waste of your time by failing to install the product and put music on something that is not working the way you want it to!
Once your iTunes is set up, this literally takes a matter of seconds, you have the choice to automatically add movies, music, TV shows and other media files from your computer to your iTunes, I would suggest against this and go the manual way:
1) Click File.
2) Click Add Song if you want to add a single track or Add Folder if you want to add an entire folder of music or an entire album.
3) Locate the file you wish to add and click it.
4) Press Okay.
5) Wait for the file/s to be added to your iTunes.
That is simple, right? That is literally all it takes to get a song or an album on your Apple iTunes player, but now you are thinking, yes, that is all fun and games, a walk in the park, but how do I get this media on my actual portable iPod? Again, another simple task to accomplish!
1) Click on Music on the left hand side of your iTunes player; it will be under the "iPod" section, not the "iTunes" section, but both selections are in the same menu.
2) A menu will appear with tabs at the top of the screen, again, click music.
3) This will bring you to the synch page.
4) Select ALL to be synchronized to the iPod.
5) Press Synch.
6) Wait patiently; but not for long, for your music to be synched to your iPod!
7) When it has completed, you will get a message stating so; you can then safely disconnect your hardware, and you are free to roam with music by your side!
A simple task with amazing results; portable music in the genius box of the Apple iPod!
