Thick hair allows more flexibility of style, and can be trained to fall either away from the face, or towards the face at fringe height, emphasizing shape of face and layered to give the appearance of boyish charm.
Curly hair can be trained by a clever stylist who will look at the way in which the hair curls naturally, and even those with straight hair can add an element of curl to make their hair stay in place in a style that works with the features of the face.
The long and short of it.
Many long styles can look great on a man, though honest appraisal is needed to make the hair look good for the circumstances the man finds himself in. Unkempt long hair would not be acceptable in an office environment, though styled hair cut into layers with length at the back looks not only stylish but well presented. Longer hair can also be sleek and put into a pony tail to give that executive look, letting it flow more casually during time off and in a more casual environment, giving the long haired man the best of both worlds.
OVERALL LOOK
For a man to decide which style suits them, the best method is to take a look at wardrobe, and work out which style goes with the lifestyle you live. The catwalk showed a cross section to suit everyone, and as long as attention is paid to how the hair is groomed to suit it's style and thickness, there is a cool haircut out there to suit every body type, and fashion style statement that a man wants to display.
Even the older man can be fashionable, and today is a great day to talk to a stylist and get out of the rut of looking the same, since the variety of products available, and the diversity of haircuts now currently offered means that no-one has to settle for a look that is dated, and that at any age, our whole image can be enhanced by attention to detail, and the trying out of new styles.
