"When you lose touch with inner stillness, you lose touch with yourself. When you lose touch with yourself, you lose yourself in the world." (Eckhart Tolle)
Inner peace is a state of inner calmness. Hence, your mind, body, and soul are free of limiting beliefs, distress, frustration, and worries. Inner peace is a state so powerful that you will find meaning and purpose in your life, and, follow the path you were meant to travel.
Finding inner peace isn't based on a particular formula, but rather it embraces the concept of being 'at peace'. Once you are able to be 'at peace', amazing things happen.
Without exception, we all have the ability to achieve inner peace. Here are some quick tips:
1) Letting go.
Learning to 'let go' means freeing yourself from old wounds. Emotional scars from past relationships, for example, can follow you to your dying day if you allow it. Let go of baggage. Not only does it weigh you down, it keeps you stuck in the past, ultimately preventing you from moving forward with your life. Make peace with the past.
2) Forgiveness.
Forgiveness can be a challenge. It becomes problematic if we feel that someone is getting away with something or being let off the hook. Oftentimes we hold off on forgiveness in waiting for offenders to apologize.
But if we accept forgiveness as our gift to ourselves, and nothing to do with the other person, it can be an easier hurdle to climb. Practice the art of forgiveness by replacing anger and resentment with peace.
3) Meditate.

Meditation refers to the practice of calming the mind. Basic meditation involves sitting comfortably, with eyes closed, while you concentrate on breathing in and out slowly. Try this technique for up to 5 minutes. If your mind wonders bring the focus back on the breath. By focusing on the breath, you extinguish negative thoughts from cluttering up your mind.
4) Give up the right to be 'always right'.
No one is right all the time. Seeing things only through your eyes and beliefs, keeps you from growing, being receptive, and embracing something new.
Time, energy, and compassion are lost while as you spar with someone in attempts at convincing them just how wrong they truly are. In times when you know you are right, it's still okay to give up the right of being victorious. Doing so welcomes peace, and ultimately, happiness.
5) Be gentle with yourself.
Treat yourself with the same tenderness,
