Wedding favors are a great way of honoring your guest, and simply saying thank you for your guest taking the time to join you for your most special day. I have worked in the craft and floral industry for many years. I have talked to many brides, bridesmaids and brides mothers. Besides a way to say thank you, some brides find it calming to do something creative.

Having a wedding favor should probably one of the top things on a brides list of things to do or have at her wedding. If your not very creative then you will have to have someone help you make you favors. If all is lost and you can't find someone creative, then you will have to buy favors. None the less a nice favor is important and a favor made by the bride makes it all that much better. Putting a few mints in some netting is better than nothing, but making a really nice favor will make your guest feel alike you put an effort into saying thanks.

The bride and all her bridesmaids can be involved. You only have to have an idea. Sometimes an idea can come from a special song of the brides and grooms, or where you had your first date. For example; I did a golf theme for a bride. I made chocolate golf balls which were placed in netting, with golf tees tied into the bow that tied the netting closed. You can also do something based on your theme if you have a themed wedding. I once put home made colored fortune cookies with a thank you note in the cookie from the bride and groom. The cookies into a small takeout cartons, the color of the bridesmaids dresses. Its important to make this part of your wedding "to dos". Don't worry about getting all the supply's you will need. Most craft stores today carry as much if not more that wholesale houses. You can find pearls to cardboard, glue to frames. In addition to the supply's, you can find books on how to make favors. If you can't find books, ask your catering person. They have seen many, many, favors, and they just might have what you are looking for. It may set a light-bulb off in your head and your ideas will start to flow.
Its a special day and you have invited special guests, so now it's time to make a special thank you.
