Marriage and debts

love. He declared himself bankrupt and left Nagem legally responsible for the marital debts, his credit card that was in joint names (even though Nagem never used it and it had the Engagement Ring for the new woman on it) and his brand new vehicle that was in both names (even though Nagem never used it because she could not drive). Devastated by the chain of events, Nagem was unable to keep up her grueling hours of work. The bank gave Nagem 30 days to settle a debt of $350,000.00 or they would bankrupt her. Nagem sold both houses immediately, at a loss. She also had to sell the furniture and find an affordable place for herself and two young children to live. After the sales, Nagem had a debt deficit of $50,000.00. To this day, seven years post divorce, Nagem is paying for her sexually transmitted debt. Divorce bought no respite, no property settlement, and no alimony because Luap was a student and a bankrupt. Once Luap had served his bankruptcy time, he returned to full time work and earns well in excess of what Nagem ever will. He has a new car, a new house in an up market area and is under no legal obligation to make any payments toward the bankruptcy debt that Nagem still pays for.

A point to remember about marriage and debt: sometimes, when the relationship breaks down and the sex stops, the screwing does not.
