The soft gentle breeze brushes your cheek. The small quiet voice sends you to a friend in need. The force of nature pulls you back on to the sidewalk just before a car squeals by. The loud command brings your attention back to the road, in time to see a vehicle not going to yield to you. A knowing inside you of things that you don't remember learning. The right words to say to a stranger sitting lonely and sad. A waft of gentle, stirring music, when there is no one around. A dream so real, you awake believing that it is still going on. A misty vision in your half sleep state, a hand soothingly touching your head, a feeling of love so deep, so surreal.
Angels are amongst us. They are our guardians. When we open our hearts and invite angels into our lives, something moves within us. Fear drops away. Joy, peace, gratitude, compassion and unconditional love overtake previous moments of judgment and anger. In their presence, there is a sense of flowing with time, yet time no longer exists.
Believe or disbelieve that is your choice. The angels don't mind. They will stay by your side, watching over you, hoping to help you to see a better way. No, they will not interfere in your life. They will not appear where they are not invited, nor will they leave you, just because you ignore them. The angels will be at your side the instant you call, elated to be of service.
It took time to understand that angels do not know the term bad or good. When you ask them to show you what you need to know, or to learn, they simply provide the simplest requirement available in the moment. When you ask for help and receive obstacles, failure, and pain, you might assume your angels did not respond. Go back and review each time you have asked. Did you learn a valuable lesson? When the dust settled, was your thinking more clear, your life more blessed? Know that you did receive the best response to your need at the time. Practice asking in ways that reflect your desires more clearly. Talk to them about your goals, dreams, fears, and accomplishments. Ask them to show you better ways to do day-to-day tasks. Listen carefully for answers. Watch for signs as you go about your daily routine.
One thing I am also sure of is that angels have a wonderful sense of humor and love to laugh. I know this to be true, since I have often been the source of their amusement. Each time I misread a sign and dive in with my ego, I can most certainly hear them giggle, as they nudge me back on track. Just when you think your footing is sure, they will find a mud puddle, to keep you humble. I have more than once heard them say, "Slow down". You know how we look around to see if someone is watching when we trip on the stairs? I have discovered, that feeling comes because the angels hover not just to keep you safe, but also to have a good chuckle, when you refuse to listen.
Do I believe in angels? Yes. My loyalty to the belief matures, as communication becomes stronger. I know that angels guide my writing, my life is supported through their constant vigil, and my strength increases because I believe. In a room filled with mirth, they are there. As a hand gently touches my shoulder, I conclude without a doubt, angels exist.
