contestants look like amateurs. She definitely possesses an unique individualism that is heavily needed on this show.

2 - Syesha Mercado is easily one of the most amazing singers I have ever seen in the show. This amazing R&B singer proves that with the essence of Whitney Houston and a positive outlook, she can compete to be the next big success story. I believe this girl has set a bar and will continue to do so. Like Amanda, Syesha remains to be one of my personal favorites. What I love most about her goes beyond her vocal power and rhythmics, but the fact that can deliver a song and make it believable. One may think she is not as good as the other contestants, but on vocals alone, she proves she is worthy of being on the American Idol stage.

3 - David Cook has to be the most original contestant of season 7. On vocals alone, he is OK and does well, but his vocals are nothing in comparison to the connection of the songs, as well as, delivery and of course, originality. When David steps on the stage, it is as if he has been doing this for years and that is refreshing. I like David because he knows who he is and that is what is most important. I believe that Mr. Cook has the possibility of winning the entire show. Even if David Cook loses, I predict he will extremely successful. Who wouldn't sign him? He is amazing.

4 - Carly Smithson is an Irish American from San Diego, CA with a big voice and a soft heart. With a rock edge, this girl proves she knows who she is. In the same league as Kelly Clarkson and Mariah Carey, Carly Smithson proves she has the potential of being the next American Idol. When I first heard her audition, I just knew she would be great on the popular series, however; since she stepped on the stage, she continues to prove why she is there. Covering everything from Heart to Celine Dion, Carly proves that on vocals alone, she is the one to beat.

5 - David Archuleta is a 17 year old singing sensation with a personality that captures and warms the heart of every women in just about every demographic. With the blue eyed soul of Elliot Yamin and the power of Clay Aiken, David Archuleta proves that he could possibly win American Idol. Covering everything from John Lennon to Phil Collins, David Archuleta's ability to connect with the songs he sings, shines through in every performance and proves his vocal level is way beyond his years. I have this prediction that he just may be the next American Idol. Am I right? I guess only time will tell.
