8. Pay attention to the vegetables your kids like best and serve them most often. After trying the 30 day vegetable hunt ask them to make a list of their 10 best vegetables. Serve them often, but don't give up on the others. Keep trying new ways to include new vegetables.
9. Help your children grow some vegetables in the back yard. They'll can take pride in harvesting part of the meal. Fresh salad, corn on the cob and carrot salad are all better when they are fresh from the garden. Teach kids to grow sprouts and then make sure to find ways to eat them before they get old. With older kids you can make it a project to set up an hydroponic tomato plant. Let them look it up on the internet, devise and inexpensive design and then carry it out!
10. Soups may be a way to get the vegetables into your children. Will like they like alphabet vegetable soup? or a vegetable juice drink? Try tomato soup with whip cream for valentines day, or pea soup with whip cream for St. Patrick's day. A smiley face of whip cream coming at them from their dish can make the difference and sweeten the soup.
These tips and tricks come from many years of experience in bribing myself to eat vegetables. They are proven techniques that may take a bit more time in preparation, but some of them are absolutely fool-proof. Give it a whirl with your family. You've got to get yourself motivated first.
