How to save money on clothes for your family

blocks, plastic animals, cars, stacking cups and jigsaw puzzles are good examples of these sorts of toys.

After children begin school you will have to allow for school fees and after school care if you work. There will also be school outings and uniforms to think about. Save money by checking to see if the school or any opp. shops near by sell second-hand uniforms. This will make it easier for you to afford other things school requires like pens, pencils, scissors and glue.

When they have been going to school for two or three years your offspring's needs and wants will have increased. Besides requiring larger clothes their new school friends will influence the things they would like to posses. Your peer-pressured charges will start demanding the latest toys and gadgets.

Keep control of your budget by not buying expensive things unless they are asked for and then only succumb to demands on special occasions such as birthdays.

To teach children you are not an inexhaustible source of money keep a grip on your purse strings and your sanity by introducing pocket money. Then encourage them to save up for the things they want themselves.

By the time they are teenagers children reach their most expensive phase. You will find your food, electricity and telephone bills reflect this. Designer clothes and electrical devices are requested for birthday and Christmas presents. School expenses are higher and more pocket money will be required to go out with friends to movies and hamburger restaurants.

All the money you have saved will be coming in handy now. Not being extravagant during the early years has paid off. You are financially ahead and as your child develops into a teenager your relationship with each other will be stronger.

There will be less feelings of resentment between you as money is seldom an issue. Instead of feeling burdened by constant demands you will be glad that you have achieved mutual bliss and managed to put some money away for you child's future.
