Some misguided men never change their hairstyle and often cling to the one they wore as teenagers, even though it may be a style that has long gone out of fashion. Occasionally, those hairstyles will come back into vogue for a while bringing him back up to date, but this is usually short-lived. A man's haircut speaks volumes about his view of himself and is also liable to have others draw conclusions about his style, or lack of it. How a man has his hair cut can be dependent on a variety of factors. These factors range from his age, how much hair he still possesses, the size of his ears and the influence of his teenage years.

A haircut can make or break a man and doesn't really require too much to find one that makes a difference. Young or older, a man can spruce himself up with a cool haircut that makes him stylish and fashionable with a minimum of fuss.

SHORT HAIR
Having a cool hairstyle does not mean you have to wear it long as if you are some kind of rock star. Short hair has become fashionable again over the years as men go for the sharp, clean cut look that accentuates their faces, perhaps finished off with some well-groomed facial hair. Short hair is generally the option for men who are beginning to lose their hair, some even resorting to having their hair cropped rather than draw attention to their bald spots.

LONG HAIR
After some well-remembered periods through the 1960s and 1970s, long hair did go out of style for some time but has come back into vogue recently. While not as long as it used to be in the days of the heavy rock bands, long hair for many has taken the place of the shorter styles that have dominated in the past decade or more. Long hair can look cool or it can look shabby and unkempt. Hair texture often makes the difference between the two as hair than is very fine usually doesn't look as appealing as luxurious hair.

HAIR PRODUCTS
Now that there are quality hair products for men, there can be no excuse for having hair styles that look awful. Even men with the worst type of hair can use such products, even if it is just a hair gel, to make themselves look good. Some have used these hair products to totally re-shape their hairstyle giving them a totally cool new look.

Your hair says a lot about you and can leave a lasting impression on those you meet. With a bit of care and attention, you can find a cool haircut suited to your style and personality.
