There are many inventions that definitely had altered our ways of life either positively or negatively. Invention is as constant as change and it's the only process that has been as old as man itself. Familiar with the bible story of Adam and Eve in the garden; it was inventory skills which Adam possessed that gave him the ability to name everything God created. Sounding a little bit religious, man has the inherent ability to invent because God, who is the Almighty inventor, gave humans this inherent ability.

Invention has been very long and the record of inventors can be ageless. The first inventor that had changed the human way of life was Nimrod (Genesis 10). Yes, Nimrod conceived to build a tower that will be very tall as to get to sky in order to give direct access to Heaven. His accomplishment was not a pleasant success because the consequence was that God divided the human communication ability into various languages so that man can not conceive a thing of such magnitude and have the needed machinery to achieve it.

Then was the Noah story (Genesis 5-9); Bible never recorded any ship of such capacity prior to the one Noah built. Noah originated the construction of the ship that was big enough to keep all known species of animal with even humans too. Bible did not go to details how ventilation was possible in the ship, but it takes a very special art of genius to be able to perfect the ship construction.

Many people will ague that these bible stories were more of God inspiration that is miracles and less of human intellectuals, but the fact is even true with modern inventors. All ability to invent is from God, it is God who has given man has the inherent ability to invent.

On and on, there are inexhaustible list of inventors from the old bible history. Just like Noah these inventions have shaped the way of human living. Have you ever imagined, if Noah had not built the Ship to perfection, or if he had not built it at all?

Modern inventors (both the dark ages and resent) that have changed our way of life are also countless. Positively or negatively, her are examples of such:

Telephone, 1876; Alexander Bell: the invention of telephone made it possible for communication across barriers and oceans. Prior to this invention, communicate across long miles was a hard task to achieve but with the invention of telephone, message can be relayed faster and easier therefore conserving time for persons.

Airplane, 1903; Wright brothers: Airplanes has changed the way of movement around places. Planes has helped transactions, planes has compressed the globe to a smaller place because almost the entire earth is reachable. Planes has allowed quicker personal contacts among persons of different races in a away that other means of traveling like ships would never had.

Electricity, 1600; Williams Gilbert: imagine what the earth would have been like without Electricity. Dull, it would have been very dull because almost everything called entertainment is connected to electricity. Electricity propelled the human advancement far more that most other inventions never did.

Modern Computer, 1941; Konrad Zuse: computer is everything; we are in the age of computer. The world has even become much smaller with the invention of computer. Computer is one aspect of invention that grossly affected our way of life.
