For the past two years I have been trying to find a way to work at home. I have signed up for survey lists and signed up for the survey companies on these lists. I have signed up for the Mystery Shopper gigs, paid email sites and get paid to drive. To date, I have not made more than $20.00 in that two years.
Often I have paid for these lists or websites due to promises that they would repay my registration fee if I did not make money within a cretain amount of time. Yet when I have contacted them to ask for my money back, there is always an excuse as to why they do not have to repay me. One of the websites that I registered with and then asked for my money back denies that they made the guarantee to pay money back if I didn't make any money. Today I discovered that she has set up a new website and this website makes the same guarantee as she claims she didn't make to me two years ago. It is run by the same lady as it has her name and picture are on the website.
I have looked into the rebate processor jobs and data entry jobs. I have made no money at these jobs as I will not pay to get a job. I have also taken a closer look at these jobs by searching chat rooms, online forums and other articles. These places have shown me that you make money at these data entry/rebate processor positions by conning others into paying for the position that you have just paid for.
I do not feel comfortable taking a job such as this. You may make money in the short term but eventually people are going to get smart to this con and these websites will be shut down or be sued out of business. I am continuing my research in this area to see if these rebate processor websites are legal anywhere.
To me there are legitimate ways to make money online. These ways can and will, given the right amount of work, allow you to make money online. These will not be easy "jobs" that promise thousands of dollars after just a few hours of work. They will not be jobs that you have to pay for, just jobs that you work for as you would any other job. These are the types of jobs that I am looking for and will continue to look for.
