Tips for finding clothes that fit

should have a defined waist. Do not wear shift dresses or draped dresses. Dresses should accentuate the bust, nip in at the waist and have an a-line or full skirt to give the illusion of a smaller, defined waist and a more hourglass figure.

3) Hourglass (round on top and on bottom with a small waist)
-Pretty much anything will work for this body shape.
-Should avoid empire-waisted dresses that have too much fullness on the bottom because they can make you appear pregnant (unless that's the look you are going for).

-Also try to avoid loose clothing because it will make you appear large and hide your stomach, which is your thinnest area.
-This body size should accentuate a small waist by wearing clothing that is fitted on top.

4) "Boy"-shaped/Ruler-shaped (small chest, small hips)
-One of the few body types that can wear baby-doll dresses without looking pregnant!
-Wrap tops give the illusion of a curvier frame
-Skinny pants! You can wear them! Skinny pants look great on this body type.
-Skip shift dresses; they will make you look shapeless and rectangular.
-Dresses and tops that have a defined waist and accentuate the bust are best if you want to accentuate (or create) curves.

Finally, you should wear what makes you feel good! Don't buy something just because it's trendy now. Trends don't work on everyone. Stick with what you look good in, and you can never go wrong. Also, always try clothes on (either in the fitting room or at home if you prefer), and return whatever you know you will never wear.
Don't buy anything just because it is on sale! My advice is to not look at price tags. Look at the clothes, if you like it without looking at the price, then it's okay to go ahead and take a peek. If not, pass it up without being tempted by a "bargain". Wouldn't you rather have a few pieces of clothing that you'll get a lot of use from than a ton of clothes you'll only wear once (or never) that you bought just because they were on sale?
