Do cats understand us?

Yes, My cats do understand me most of the time. I have 10 cats and each one has a personality of their own. I go outside where they live and here they all come to me. I start to talk to them and they look like they understand what I am saying to them. They follow me around outside. They inspect things I do like they are saying why did you do that? They follow me to the highway and I tell them to stay there, and they wait for me to come back across the highway.

Each cat has a name. The oldest cat is Fuzzy and she has been around for a long time. She has gotten so old that she does not follow me much anymore. I guess she does not always feel like following me. There is one named Fluffy. Fluffy is a black cat with long hair. She is a great hunter and loves to lay in the sunshine in the spring but in the shade in the summer. Then there is Tom, the tom cat that started it all. He is old and cantankerous. He does not like other males to be around. Of course, some of my little ones have been males over the years. And there is Tabby, what a bad personality. She is old and does not like the younger ones. She will fight the younger ones. Muffin is next in line and the most loving of the bunch. She is spoiled by my husband and loves her petting. Tag is next in line. She is a long hair, black cat that has been a runt. She is coming along quite well. She stays at my feet and loves to watch me work in the yard. Then there is Scooter Bug, named after the one that disappeared. We have cats to disappear all along here in the country where we live. Scooter Bug will jump up on me and want me to pet him. The long fluffy hair is so shiny and he loves to be combed and taken care of. His brother, Repeat, loves to be petted also. He will come up also and lay in my lap. There are two that came along as kittens that were half grown before they came around for us to see them. One is Gray, a large gray male cat. They were so scary, but have worked with Gray until he likes his petting but not his sister, Boots. Boots will come up to me but rarely do I get to touch her.

I have another cat that is white with a tint of gray. She is scared of some of the cats so she slips around and goes into the pen with our dog,Gabe, to eat. She did not show up for 4 days and then Tom and Gray did not come. I checked on them and they had Polley up a tree. They went to where we feed and I talked to Polley until she came down out of the tree to eat. Polley is a loving cat but do not like the other cats.

You see I like cats and enjoy them. I am diabetic and wonder if they would know when I am having troubles with diabetes. They all love to be with me when I am working in the yards. I love working in my flowers and veggies.

Cats do get in the way when I am setting out plants. They think I will pet them so they roll around in the place I am trying to dig for plants. Cats are fun to have and probably help my blood pressure to stay down. Do not know about the diabetes.

You can see I have an enjoyable day when I can get out and work in the yard. They keep down snakes and mice. I may have to give some to others if they have anymore. Cats are a Joy and I think they know what I am saying to them,
