So you wanna improve lung capacity, and you have no clue where to start. Have no fear, it's really not that hard. First, you must run. Running, as bad as you may hate it, will greatly improve your lung capacity. However, you must learn to run properly in order for anything to help at all. The most important thing to work on is your posture. When you run, it is important to have good posture. Stand in front of a mirror sideways and straighten your back so that your spine is perpendicular to the floor. Now, remember how it feels to have a straight back, and when you go to run, make your back that way. Now, you need to breathe properly. When you first run, depending on how fit you are, you may not have a beat that you run to. This is something you'll need. When you run, count by fours. Count your footsteps by fours, and regulate your breathing by fours. Think like this: Breathe in-2-3-4-Breathe out-2-3-4-Breathe in-2-3-4-Breathe out-2-3-4 and etc. With every number, make sure a foot is on the ground, and breathe in time with your steps. Feel free to take even longer breaths if you want. You probably don't want to go any shorter, than won't improve your lungs at all. The trick is to slow your breathing and work extra hard. After time, this will greatly improve your lungs.
