Cinnamon and honey are not only sweet treats they are great for your health! Almost everyone had heard of drinking lemon tea with honey when you have a cold but did you know that cinnamon helps to lower cholesterol?
The health benefits of cinnamon and honey are quite extensive and unfortunately are not that well known- until today! Here is an outline of the benefits of these two miracle ingredients and how you can use them to improve your health!

Cinnamon-
As stated above, cinnamon has been found to lower LDL cholesterol. Just consuming teaspoon each day does the trick for many high cholesterol sufferers. Those suffering from diabetes can also benefit from cinnamon because it is said to help regulate blood sugar levels.
Copenhagen University did a study that showed how cinnamon and honey helped arthritis sufferers. They determined that consuming "half a teaspoon of cinnamon powder combined with one tablespoon of honey every morning before breakfast" had a major impact on the relief of pain in those suffering from arthritis.
Cinnamon is also considered a natural food preservative because it inhibits bacterial growth in stored food. Also, the scent of cinnamon is proven to make you more alert and responsive. Furthermore cinnamon is a great source of manganese, fiber, iron, and calcium when consumed.
Honey-
Honey is considered an energy booster because it is a natural source carbohydrates; it also has been linked to reducing muscle fatigue and improving endurance in athletes.
Honey also has a huge impact on the immune system because of the antioxidant and anti-bacterial qualities. Also, honey is beneficial to the digestive system and can have a great impact on ones immune system! Try drinking honey and lemon juice as a tonic each morning, just mix 1 spoonful of each and drink it down!
Additionally, honey can be used to remedy hangovers, sore throats, sleeplessness, cuts/ burns and much more! Vinegar and honey are used as a self-detox, milk and honey promote better digestion and lemon and honey can aid in weight loss. In Oriental medicinal practices cinnamon and honey are believed to cure bad breath and may even remedy hair loss!
The benefits of honey and cinnamon are vast and can aid/ remedy so much so the next time you feel a cold coming on reach for the honey and instead of reaching for that energy drink pop a piece of cinnamon candy into your mouth! Anyone can use these two power ingredients to improve your health and life. Give it a try, you will be amazed.
