the war (16 during Ferguson's reign at United) its stability that they need. The Bill Nicholson days are long gone. It's also a new ground they need, no surprise that the two teams with 60,000 plus capacities sit atop both the English and Scottish Premierships. Spurs have a paltry 36.000.

Just as Arsenal has attracted the rarity that is the black football fan (shirts sponsors in 02 earning serious business off the back of that connection) Tottenham seem to get the pseudo celebrity fans on board, especially from the influential North London Jewish community. Simon Mayo on Radio Five is an example of how irritating that can get as the presenters have clearly received a memo at the BBC to talk up their love of football-usually Spurs-to the point of irritation, trying to boost their pseudo working class cred. There's nothing worse than the great ad the good trying to have some blue-collar cred!
