3 To get pregnant and raise loving, healthy children
I don't want to reach this goal until I've conquered my first, but I would definitely love to have children, a whole football team worth, and raise them the way I was raised. This is actually a major goal for me, I don't know how I would cope if I was never to have children, it doesn't bare thinking about!
4 To have enough money to not have to worry anymore
I am currently working 2 jobs, between 60 and 70 hours a week, most weeks. I'm tired. What I would really like is to be able to cut down the hours I work, yet to still be able to feed myself. The only way I'm going to be able to do this is by finding another job. I'm realistic, I'm not greedy, I don't want to win the lottery (ok, I'd be the happiest person alive if I won the lottery, but the odds on that happening are pretty slim) I just want to have a little more time to myself, to achieve my other goals, without having to add up on my way around the supermarket to make sure I have enough money.
5 Do more for charity.
I'm on a charity so I do some fundraising it just doesn't seem to be enough, I need to do more for those less fortunate.
6 To write more and get more published.
I've had a couple of short stories in print, I'm a good writer, I'm just lazy. Until I joined up to helium I hadn't written in months, I need to make more time for myself so I can get my creativity head on, and knock out a huge best seller. I have so many unfinished novels, and screenplays on disc. I even have a book full of finished but unedited short stories; I just don't have the time, or the energy to finish them. This is a really important goal for me as writing is such a passion, and I enjoy it. I definitely need to make more time for this.
7 To see more of my family and make things right with my sister.
My sister and I had a huge falling out a year ago and I miss her so much. I've only seen her once last summer, she didn't speak and the atmosphere was terrible. I've tried, don't get me wrong, and I am at fault, I just cant see what else I can do to put things right. She's pregnant now too and it absolutely devastates me that I am going to have a niece or a nephew out there who I never get to see.
8 Be content
This is probably the hardest thing on the list to achieve, but the one I strive for the most. Is anyone out there truly happy?
So there you go, that's my list. Ok, so I know there's not 10 items on there, but to be fair there's nothing more important than those on my list that I want to achieve, and they are all achievable, I just have to make a conscious effort from now on. Hopefully when I'm an old lady I can sit with my grandkids and tell them that anything is possible, as long as you have to drive to try.
