Desperation took her there to the place she feared to go
She tried so hard to stay away but today she was weak
Life was too hard, she needed to escape
No one understands the release that she feels
When to that secret place she goes
She retreats from the world
Her eyes, glazed over, she is there again
She feels like she is moving in slow motion
When she is there, in that very place
That place in her mind where she disconnects
She is not herself, but she is someone else
Someone who is so angry
She sees her hand moving toward her face
But she can not stop it,
She feels the sting that resounds through her body
Again and again she slaps her face
Why can't she be someone else?
Why can't she stop the pain?
Why can't she stop these hands?
They hurt, please make them stop
She falls to the floor so ashamed
She went to the place she swore she would never visit
It felt so natural to go there again
Again and again she goes
With her eyes glazed over and her face in pain
She erases the fear of who she never will be
She is not like others, she is herself
And she has a secret place where she retrieves

Terror chills my spine as I look down.
A frozen body with no hope left,
my eyes bold and search for a thumping chest.
A gripping
Desperation grips me like a vise,
Trying to avoid this awful demise.
The panic swells in deep waves,
Trapped, helpless, crawling

The mind is a wonderful thing to have
it can be seduced into heaven
for the love this deduction
Desperate hands on a face of silk
Tormented soul drenched with guilt
Begging for pardon when she'll pass
Living in secret behind
