On the back patio
on a gorgeous night
like tonight
when slow goes the tick of time
when it sways and leans so warmly
long and lingering
like a lovers first touch
then, just then
all the universe is bending low
and it whispers
its secrets
on my lips...
...and on and on
the crickets chirp
like an ancient Greek chorus
playing my doom
on tiny violin legs
