Marwah is part of the obligatory practices when a Muslim does his or her Haj. Apart from all the physical and spiritual acts, a Muslim needs to do for their Haj, they also must beforehand mentally and spiritually prepare themselves for their pilgrimage journey. To be in the holy land one must clear himself from all the worldly dealings and thus must humble himself as how one would in the presence of their Maker.
Dressed in nothing else but a sitchless white cloth called Ihram, pilgrims continued on their journey barefooted to start their journey at the most revered mosque, Masjidil Haraam. Under the hot sun and barefooted, millions of pilgrim from all likes of life and cultures brought together to answer the call of Islam.
In here, the holy land, no one is better than the other. No one is richer and fair better looking than the other. For only one is ever perfect, ever almighty, ever the gracious, ever fair, and that is Allah s.w.t. He creates everything. He gives and takes life. He answers all prayers and it is He that will determine the future. Therefore in this holy land, all pilgrims left their beguiling worldly life for one moment in their life. To pray in hopes that their sins have been cleansed and that their Haj is accepted by HIM.
During the eve of last day of the Haj procession, ninth Zulhijjah, the throwing of stones at Jamrah takes place. In here many pilgrims will be brought to tears as they threw the stones at the pillars that symbolizes the devils. The tears of realization of the acts of sin which they have done by accident or by intention are reflected. On this day will the Haj cycle be completed.
Thus, the commencement of Eidul Adha takes place the next day.
