you she just broke up with her boyfriend or she's not interested in anyone, it very well could be true. The problem with a lot of men is they walk up and instantly think a girl should offer their number to them and when they don't they get a bruised ego. What they don't realize is you have to create a spark of attraction with the girl first.

If you walk up to a girl and start a boring conversation or do something outdated like offer to buy her a drink, you're just another Joe trying to get her number. You have to be willing to do something that she does not expect to spark her interest. For example, if you are at a crowded bar and a girl bumps into you..act like you are offended ( in an overly sarcastic way) and tell her she could at least offer you a drink before she tries to cop a feel. You will be surprised at the response you get. It tells her that you are confident enough and comfortable enough with girls that you can be a little cocky and sarcastic without worrying about offending her. Let me say this, I am not saying to be a complete jerk, thats totally different. Some guys use that and it does work on some girls and thats fine for them. But normally that only attracts a girl with very low self esteem thats willing to put up with that type of behavior.

Once you have her interest, keep it up. Don't bore her with a conversation about the weather. Be edgy, don't be afraid to step on some toes and if you do, do not apologize. If a girl cannot take a joke or has no sense of humor she's gonna end up being really boring.

You also want to end the confrontation first. It shows that you are willing to walk away without having to follow her around. I have found a good way to get a girls number is just by not asking for it. Hand her your cell phone, tell her to put her number in. While she is entering it, tease her that it better not be a fake number. If she says no, make a sarcastic comment making fun of her, tell her "ya thats probably a good move I was gonna call you about 20 times a day and constantly leave messages every time probably like the random loser you gave your number to last weekend" . She will laugh and it will make her feel stupid for saying no when she clearly enjoyed your conversation.

Whatever you do, do not run up and grind a girl you've never said a word to out on the dance floor, offer to buy her a drink or be a complete clown. I almost feel embarrassed for the guys I see doing this. Although it does give me a good way to start a conversation with the girl by making fun of them.
