Inner peace comes from a feeling inside whereas you feel at one with yourself and with the driving force behind your beliefs. It's not the feeling of being "the best", but rather being able to see and be proud of "I did my best". It's taking everything you have before you and being thankful you have it, no matter how much or how little that may be.
Inner peace is being able to look into a mirror and seeing your reflection staring back at you and actually liking that person. Even as age sets in, hair begins to gray and lines form; still being able to see passed that and with a smile say, "you did good kid".
Inner peace is being able to let go of the every day turmoil inside, of right or wrong, good or bad, and just know without any form of doubt, your decisions are made because you, yourself believe in them, and believe your guiding force also believes in them; and you question not what Joe Schmo might think, but smile because your decision feels right and feels good inside.
Inner peace cannot be taught or learned, it can only be found. Finding it, really don't take that much, quite easy actually; for it only takes a few minutes to ask your guiding force, whichever God you believe in or don't believe in, whatever is behind your own thoughts, ideas and ambitions, then just look inside of yourself, and you will soon discover inner peace.
One of the easiest steps for anyone searching for their own inner peace is to take just one afternoon away from the entire hustle and bustle of this world. Go to somewhere peaceful and quiet with no cell phones, no tv's, no radios. Go alone. Just sit somewhere quiet, in the sunshine, by a pond, a lake, in a field of flowers; just take in nature. Watch like you have never seen them before, ants carrying food back to their mound, bees gathering pollen, the colors that surround you, the sounds that you hear. Then ask your driving force to help you find inner peace. Go back home, and look in a mirror, and then ask YOURSELF, what it is that makes your heart smile, not your face, not your lips, but your heart. I can almost guarantee, if you take these steps, you are well on your own way of finding your own "inner peace".
