Poetry: Missing someone

WITHOUT YOU

Lonely nights,
watching the moon,
sitting here without you.
Listening to music,
all night long,
wishing you weren't gone.

My only company,
the songs on the radio
that remind me of you.
The songs on the radio
that always make me cry
because I'm alone again tonight.
The songs on the radio
that bring back the memories,
the wonderful memories
of our two years together.

The two years we spent
travelling around Europe
learning about countries
as we learned about each other.
The two years that ended so violently
when you were taken from me.

Now you're gone and I can't sleep anymore.
All I do at night is think of you.
You never seem to leave my mind.
If only I could turn back time,
I would have you here again lying by my side,
and those songs on the radio that always make me blue,
we could share again tonight as I'm lying next to you.

I wish you could come back to me,
I don't want to have to wait to be with you again.
