Sure there are easy ways to lose weight. Losing weight isn't all that hard. Unless you like to eat or have a negative relationship with food. Then it can seem an impossible task. I have seen people who just could not control themselves around food. Fortunately for most overweight people even the morbidly obese losing the weight isn't hard, we have lost tons of weight. The difficult part is keeping it off. The seemingly endless cycle of losing weight to only gain back everything you have lost and more besides. Commonly called yo-yo dieting, its very hard on the body and unhealthy.
We spend billions of dollars each year to go on or read up on the latest diets or to buy kits, pills etc to help us lose weight so it is also very easy to lose money while losing weight. While there are a few useful books and items out there most are junk so you might want to save your money.
Now easy weight loss does not mean fast weight loss especially if you want to keep it off. First off you want to go check with your doctor to make sure you are basically healthy. I know I don't like going to the doctor either but they can help identify thyroid problems and other medical issues that you may need to consider while losing weight. As a long time veteran of dieting, I suggest that you don't diet, not in the manner you have been programed and conditioned to think you must. There are many myths out there and some of them actually make it more difficult to lose weight and to keep it off.
In order to lose weight and be successful long term you are going to have to follow a plan that is livable and works for you. What are your down falls and what can you live without or at least cut back on? The first thing you want to do is stop thinking in terms of diet or low calorie or sugar free. These are buzz words and often misleading. Focus on healthy, fresh, unprocessed foods. The more processed a food the less value it has for you and the worse it is for you. Added fats, sugars, salts and chemicals and dyes do not help your body function in a healthy way.
I know it is hard to avoid all processed foods but the more you do the better off you will be.
Start slow and take baby steps to modify your eating habits. Like chips, tortilla or potato? Try pretzels. Like candy bars? (mmm chocolate) Switch to dark chocolate. Do you drown your salads in dressing? Order it on the side, take your favorite low calorie dressing with you or try substituting salsa. Big on bread, go to whole grains and
