Red Diamond Rose

The Red diamond roses'
petals slowly open
to reveal the beauty inside.
A sweet scent erupts
and builds up your senses.
It clears away your mind.
Be patient and gentle
to get past the thorns
that protect the beauty
inside of the rose.
The petals will open like
a lost lover's arms,
come to welcome you home.

This lost lover's soul
has memories to hold
of all the lost years
and the stories he told.
Oh, the sweet words he
whispered so long ago
as he spoke of his love
through a red diamond rose.

The years have gone by.
Memories still live
in the red diamond roses
planted by him.
I tend to the garden
as I would tend to his love
and tell our grandchildren
The story of us.

This lost lover's soul
has memories to hold
of all the lost years
and the stories he told.
Oh, the sweet words he
whispered so long ago
as he spoke of his love
through a red diamond rose.

As he spoke of his love
through a red diamond rose.
