Assignment: Write an article about passion in life for long time students, avid super fans, leaders, entrepreneurs, professionals, service providers, manufacturers, inventors or educators. That's not nine different groups. We all are trying to be professional in our endeavors, and students of our interests if we live our lives with passion.

My suggestions:

CURIOSITY can keep passion alive as we seek one more answer, which leads to one more question, which leads to one more answer, which asks one more question.

DESIRE drives many dedicated health care workers to help people who need treatment, comfort, assistance in their struggles to recover and be restored in mind and body. The desire to help is a powerful motivator.

LOVE of people, of life, of success and achievement in our chosen field keeps the passion and zest alive, long after the silly childish concepts of what life would be like wane from the onslaught of reality.

COMMITMENT to excellence is synonymous with passion, essentially. Commitment to accomplishing tasks, arriving at solutions, making an impact; those commitments will keep the late-night lamp oil of a driven soul going, long after "money and fame" will.

RICHES are lonely and cold at the end of the day, and the passion will burn out if it's not passion driven by real desire, love and commitment to excellence.

CHOICES we make early in life take many turns along the way. Some of our choices will work out well, and others not so well. Passion to learn more may drive us to take a right or left turn in our careers; curiosity can lead us in unplanned directions. Following one's passions will keep the love of life and our endeavors fired with commitment to excellence. Ignoring our passions will douse them with the cold bitterness of disappointment.

AMBITION is a powerful motivator and can be a positive or negative source of passion, depending on what the ambition is driven to accomplish. Want to be the best and most successful at any cost? The cost may be higher than you ever imagined. Want to strive to be the best you can be? That passion for improving, learning, and contributing will grow and thrive in a positive and nurturing way, for you and others.

SELF-love can be lost along the path of life, but is essential to keep life's passions alive. Taken to the extreme, it can become the source of failure. Self-love is essential and must be held closely but not to the detriment of others. Forgetting self is always a possibility, especially when caring for
