How to get the most energy from common foods

you.

Melons and paw paw are great for your digestive system. Bananas have potassium to counter allergies. Grapefruits have excellent fat fighting properties and grapes are a great source of energy.

Pasta is a good source of energy food. It is not calorie intensive if you are sparing with sauces. Some are mixed with vegetable ingredients and beetroot, spinach and butternut additions make them interesting and just as good in their nutritional content as regular pasta.

Rice is good for energy. I am talking about real rice, not the maize clone. It needs to be brown and if it's wild it's even better

At the dairy counter skip the full cream and choose fat free or skim milk. Use butter instead of margarine. It is easily absorbed into your system. The body does not know how to process margarine which is synthetic and akin to plastic.

Soya products are good for your body in moderation. Do not overindulge if you are not used to them as your system may not know how to break them down.

Good quality chocolate is a great energy booster and if you have to eat it buy a brand that has a seventy to eighty percent cocoa content and little sugar.

Nuts are generally good for your body and so are dates and dried fruits. So add these to your purchases.

Green and herbal teas are much healthier than regular tea which is loaded with tannin. The herbal varieties mixed with fruit juices make energizing drinks.

The general guideline when you are shopping for energy giving foods is to keep as far as possible to fresh, natural foods that are not highly refined and do not have a fat, sugar or high preservative content.
