Starving
We feed our stomachs
But not our souls.
Seeing ourselves spiraling out of control,
We do nothing but treat the symptoms.
The bread of life
Cannot be cut with fork or knife
Because it is eternal.
The emptiness cannot be filled,
The abyss grows wider
As we try to satisfy the void.
The lack of life, the lack of joy, keeps us ever searching.
How then do we feed our souls?
How can we fill the vastness?
Jesus is the bread of life,
The water that satisfies all thirst.
God's word is sustenance,
It comes in abundance.
Come all and taste;
The fruit of life is not a waste.
The time is now,
There is more to see, hear, and love.
All the glory is God's above.
Experience the life to be had;
Experience the fullness of love.
