Often People ask me what types of music I listen to. I like Christian music and that often gets frowned on. Anything Christian (usually not contemporary) I listen to but that doesn't mean I have anything against secular music. That brings up the matter of devil music. I don't think bands create music for the sake of making devil music (at least most don't). Devil Music isn't something humans are motivated to make. The are songs of love and songs lust,hate,sex,money, and drugs. Usually anything on today's radio has any one of these. Let's Talk about the messages involved. "Love" in today's standards has become so twisted that really it's just a disguise for lust. Lust is any intense desire or craving for self gratification and excitement(thanks to Wikipedia). Assuming devil is referring to the biblical Satan, lust is a form of adultery. Adultery is a sin according to the ten commandments. The biblical love was more about sacrifices rather than desires. If a song includes hate most likely inspired by the sinful nature which may or may not be further influenced by the devil. This is because the only times the devil will influence anyone is when it will help influence others. Now the devil may claim to be but he is not God and he can't see the future(except his future). So there is no genuine devil music. This brings me to my next song content Sex. Sex goes along with adultery and with fornication, Sex outside of the marriage. The bible mentions plenty of things about sex and fornication is something God wants avoided. The most wanted by most people are money. Money and women is heard quite a few hip-hop tracks. Money isn't necessarily evil since a certain amount is needed to survive but with the help of greed and any of the past and next sins people want more money than is needed and focus less on their spiritual needs and in the end spreading this greedy disease. Drugs don't start out as a problem but stress often starts addiction in the weaker hearted. The addictions spread an image that bad things are cool and everything is alright when you're high. Now that I have all the explanation out of the way it's time to explain what is devil music and why it exists. This is my definition of devil music. Devil music any type of music that dissuades people from obeying God. If it convinces people that God is not what He says He is. If it tries to persuade people that a sinful life is a healthy life then it is devil music. Why does it exist? Well most people don't even
