How would you describe colors to the blind

If you are on a sandy beach on a hot, sunny, afternoon you will feel the color, yellow.

If you are out in the early morning hours on a day in late Spring or early Summer, particularly in the Northeastern part of the US, you will feel and smell the color, green. You will smell green if you smell a lemon or lime (even though lemons are yellow).

When you scrape or cut your skin, and it burns, you are feeling the color, red.

When you are very bored you may be feeling white, but white is also blindingly bright and cold. If you are out on a bright Winter day, when snow has just fallen, you will also feel white.

If you could add a little sunshine to white you would have cream. Cream is warmer than white, and it feels pure. Cream feels like neatness or crispness that has been warmed. It feels like vanilla tastes.

If you picture how you feel when you're "regular" or slightly "blah", and then if you touch metal, you may get a feeling for another kind of gray.

If you stir whipped cream and blueberries until the blueberries are mashed you will taste light blue, but if you imagine adding so much milk that the taste is very diluted you will really taste light blue. If you feel slightly irritated at life, or if you cry a basic (not hysterical) cry, you may be feeling light blue. If you wish you could shake someone who needs a good shake, that's light blue. Light blue is a deceptive color because we are always told it is beautiful. In truth, it can be a boring and irritating color.

The dark blue, almost black, of the night sky or space,
