Good cars for teen drivers

I'm excited on this subject since I'm 15 turning to 16 in a couple of months and that mean's I'm about to recieve my driving permit. And on personal experience and opinion I think a good car for a teen is a trashy one. A parent might buy a new car for there son or daughter to drive but to me that seems like a waste. Buying a car off a lot or a moderately old one will teach the teen respect of ownership, how to take care of a car, and knowing how to fix it as well. Many benefits come with having an old used car. Such as knowing how to modificate it and learn from it without having much to break. In new cars or costly ones, most teens won't know how to fix it or tinker around with it from the fear they might break something. Having a used car has many moral values someone can learn from. When I get my first car in the very near future, I'll probably buy one around the park of 1,200 to 1,600 dollars.

So with all this in mind, what would a good car for teen be?

That comes all with personal reference of the teen. Some teens are into fast hot rod type cars. Cars that tear up the street and put pride in those need for speed teenagers. Other teens choose stylish cars that makes heads turn and people envy. Cars like these are usually very expensive and only should be giving to a teen that knows great car of a car. And finally there are teen drivers that prefer a comfortable car. A car that they can just get in and drive long periods of time to escape the hectic word of school, life, and problems. There are also a lot more styles of people that want different type of cars. But with this knowledge you can tell what kind of car a teen would most want.

Some good cars that any teen would want are hondas, mercedes, old classic cars, and probably fords. I'll probably use my car for work purposes with good milage, a nice bumping stereo system, and large volume space for cruising on the streets with friends. This type of car would probably be a small black honda that I can drive where ever I want with a nice gas milage. Due to high gas prices, most teens are turning from gas guzzler cars to more conservative cars that have good milage, good milage in my perspective is about 28 mpg.
If your a parent, buy your son or daughter a used car that works good but has some problems. They may call you cheap and stingy but in the long run, if there ready for a car, they'll be able to learn a lot of valuable lessons from there car.
