A life altering plan such as getting fit may seem difficult to set into course. Even after desired fitness levels have been reached, the rise of fast food chains and accommodations for comfort, make it especially hard to stay fit. Progressive in sports; Fitness and dieting have become all too familiar. Though as difficult as it is, I've compiled a few great tips to make your voyage to vanity, health, and self-confidence much easier, effective, and a tad bit more fun.
1. Set a goal- You can start with a goal that is easy to commit to and progress to more challenging as you feel ready. Accomplishment is a great feeling, so finish what you start. There is no doubt you will be rewarded for completing your task, not with a medal or cash money, but with a slimmer, stronger, and more confident you.
2. Trick your mind- What may seem like being deceptive is actually a great technique in setting a stronger foundation for a healthier you. To start, try using a smaller bowl with the same serving of food as you would have served in a larger bowl. What looks like more, essentially, is more. Over time you can begin to lessen your portions, developing a sense of normality in your meals, which in turn will become the norm, making your previous portion too much for even you.
3. Go public- Keeping something like a fitness plan isn't exactly easy so why try. You can help others help you by simply letting them know what your plan is. From the places you eat, the snacks for the movies, or even a hearty breakfast to start your day, having others well informed can help lessen any chance of a conflicting situation to your plan.
4. Keep track- Though sometimes it may not be apparent in pounds lost, your body is undergoing a change. Measure your arms, legs, hips, chest, or whatever you feel is a trouble spot. While you may not be losing a pound on the scale, you could be losing an inch or two from your body. Muscles weighs more then fat, so what you are doing is toning up: Getting fit. Keep track of your progression, through pictures, measurements, and weigh ins. You're bound to see results; and with those results come the motivation to keep on going.
5. Stay focused- Try not to lose sight of things when a new dish is brought into the picture. Remember that for the most part, food supply can be replenished. Don't ever think that you'll never get to eat that bag of chips, taste that slice of cake, or eat that doughnut ever again. Rest assured that junk food is by no means, in short supply.
