to the fact that a significant portion of the myths is provided by the fans. In fact, many experiments have been redesigned and repeated in order to convince unsatisfied fans. Joint ventures with renowned universities and experts have also lent credibility and variety to the show.

Besides the content, the mythbusting crew has a good mix of personalities that complement each other. Each of these personalities would struggle to anchor the show alone. Jamie Hyneman is essentially an expressionless and dull guy but he is without question the brains of the show. The effervescent and jovial Adam Savage provides the creativity and laughter. Grant Imahara, the resident geek, is the robotics expert while Tory belleci is the ever willing stuntman on the show. Kari Byron, the only female host, is the bubbly and enthusiastic mythbuster that injects some much needed femininity into a testosterone charged environment. It probably makes the show appeal to a much larger audience than it would without her.

If I have to find one criticism that I have for MythBusters, it would have to be the lack of group dynamism between the mythBusters. More often than not, Adam and Jamie would be focusing on one project while the other three would be doing another. Perhaps it would be interesting to stir things up a bit to allow viewers to see how the different people can or cannot work together. The current grouping has certainly gone stale to a certain extent.

Overall, MythBusters never fails to surprise. Just when you think the crew is running out of myths, another one is drawn out of the bag and its leaves you calling for more. Next time if you are thinking of submitting a myth, you can be sure that the mythbusting crew would find an excuse to blow things up!
