We have had few true American's and have even fewer of them today, but they exist. George Washington, John Paul Jones, Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, James Madison, Abraham Lincoln, William T. Sherman, Ulysses S. Grant, Teddy Roosevelt, General Patton, Senator Joseph McCarthy, President John F. Kennedy (the only Democrat that ever could be considered an American). John Wayne was a true American. The last great American we had was Ronald Reagan. Can't forget Charlton Heston though, he's stood up for our Second Amendment a lot of years.
I advise all of you folks that disagree with me, to go to www.brainyquote.com, or www.bartleby.com, preferably bartleby.com because they keep the context intact of what the quotes referred to, and look these people up, read what they have said. You cannot study these people and then say they were not true Americans.
An American is someone who will not cower in fear, and allow their rights to be legislated away by liberals in our Government with the reasoning that "it is for our own good". An American will stand up for what's right, even if it is politically incorrect. A real American fights to win when he does fight. A true American will not give up in Korea and Vietnam, and more currently, Iraq. General MacArthur was a true American, and Harry Truman fired him for it. Had he been given the support he needed, he would have neutralized North Korea. General Patton wanted to rebuild Germany as a buffer against Russia, because Bolshevism and Communism was and still is the real enemy. Now, we are faced with a shrinking military due to liberals and their goal towards 'demilitarization'. Russia on the other hand is building up their Navy again. They always said they were going to bury us, with how liberalized our country has been, it will be easier for them to do it if they decide to in the future.
An American does not say we are losing the war in Iraq, when we have killed over a million terrorists and have lost only a few thousand of our own men, granted no American's life is worth sacrificing over a foreign country that should have had it's own revolution. American's do not commit to a war and then keep it from being won.
American's do not pass homeland security laws that apply more to our own law abiding citizens than to terrorists. American's have an understanding of our heritage, our liberties, and believe in the pursuit of property, and the protection of liberty.
Real American's do not expect something for nothing. If we need health
