Secret Me.
I'm running from this mirror on my wall
I cannot see my reflection anymore
Is it really me that shows behind that glass
With these memories faded and torn?
I am the girl waiting by your door
I am the girl with the strong heart
I wait for the sun to raise my shadow once again
Take me back to my childhood, right back to the start.
I sit on the dock with my feet in the water
Hidden behind a mask of curly brown hair
I watch the frogs jump and the fish swim around
Who am I, honestly, do I care?
I don't know which words to spill out anymore
I am full of surprises and secrets too
In the flower strewn garden of love and joy
My mask will come down, soon my secret self will be with you.
