In The Company of Angels
Although you cannot see me, I'm hoping you will hear
the message I am whispering, softly in your ear
I know I left too quickly, I didn't even say goodbye
but when the angels came, I just had to try and fly
I caught a glimpse of Heaven in the twinkling of their eyes
and I couldn't help but follow them when they began to rise
Heaven is so beautiful, how I wish that you were here
I would hug you tightly and softly wipe away your tears
I'm in the company of angels and for eternity I'll remain
free from earthly sorrows, from fear and doubt and pain
In memories I'll abide beneath the sadness and the tears
I will live on forever, year by passing year
In the company of angels I will live and wait
I'll be keeping a close watch near Heavens pearly gate
I know the day will come, I'll see you standing there
as angels sing their praises, a sweet reunion we will share
I love you so much, please try not to cry
I have the softest wings now, oh how I love to fly
Maybe you will feel them wrapped around you in your sleep
I will live on forever in the memories that you keep
I'm in the company of angels now, please do not despair
I'll meet you at the pearly gates, I'll be waiting there . . .

Remember me? I wrote poetry
And articles by the hundred,
But since I've come to realize
Remember me,
As snowflakes fall gently and on your nose they sit
While you walk lost and slowly forgetting my vow
On the darkest
Remember me for the things I've done
And not for the senseless things I've uttered
Remember me for the accolades I've won

Remember me,
when the wind
ruffles your hair
and I'm not there
to brush it for you.
Remember me,
when my sisters and my friends
