Short stories: Animal stories for children

There was a big party in the city of Animalstan. The party was being held at the biggest park in the city of Animalstan. All the animals in the city had been invited. Gina, the giraffe, with her long neck, arrived at the party with her three children trudging behind her. Her husband , Ruffy, had gone to look for some soft leaves for the children's dinner that night. Shumba, the lion, arrived leading a pack of five lions, and walking shyly, as if he suspected someone was up to something against him. Allen, the elephant, appeared at the party with all his children and grand children, walking as if he was the king of Animalstan. Tiger, the tiger, also was at the party with his kin. Hippy, the hippo was accompanied only by his wife. They had no children. Binto, the rabbit was alone at the party. One of his children was sick, and because of that his family had decided that only Binto was to attend the party and represent the family. Many other animals attended the party, including snakes, impalas, baboons, monkeys, squirrels, and many other animals. Many animals had come to the party, which was being hosted to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of the city.

There was plenty of food and drink for the animals. The animals ate, drank and danced. Everyone was very happy. In the evening, animals started leaving the park to go to their homes.Little by little, the animals left until only Ellen and Binto were left. They had been chosen by the animals to do the clean up after the party. They cleaned up the spot where the party had been held, and then sat down to enjoy their last drink before leaving.

"By the way Allen, I have always wondered who is more intelligent between us," said Binto as he sipped his drink.

"Why wonder about something obvious?" replied Allen.
"What is obvious,Allen?" asked Binto, surprised.
"Binto, don't you see how tiny you are and how big I am," said Allen.
"what does size have to do with it Allen?" asked Binto.
"Size has everything to do with it , Binto. I am more intelligent than you," boasted Allen.
Binto was upset that allen thought that he was more intelligent than him only because he was bigger than him. He kept quiet, but in his mind, he was thinking of a plan to embarrass Allen.

"Hey, Allen, let's go home. It's getting late," said Binto.

Allen got up , and together they started walking along a small path towards the gate of the park. The party had been held in the middle of the park, and the entrance to the park was some distance from where the party had been
