for a non-profit. I now had time to volunteer at my church and in my community. I am a totally different person today than I was fifteen years ago, much more filled with passion, enjoying every day.
What will "you" need to do today to recapture your dream? Okay, maybe it wasn't a realistic dream but with modifications it can be realized. For example you always dreamed of being an artist. When was the last time you were creative? If you are totally out of practice consider calling your local adult education department or community college and getting a copy of their brochure. Take a short class in your passion. It's not too late to reawaken it.
If the passion is gone out of your relationship. Ask yourself a few questions. Why is the passion gone? Where did we lose it? What attracted me to this person in the first place? What is our common ground. Think about doing something just with your partner. Plan a weekend away to a place both of you have always wanted to go. If that would be financially impossible try to get someone to baby-sit the kids (if you are a couple with children) and have a date night together. Listen to your partner, nothing is more attractive than someone who listens and from attractions comes passion.
Savor every moment, that is a really big order. Try just savoring one minute of everyday. Open you eyes every morning and just look out at the landscape, listen to the sounds of nature or the sounds of your children's voices. Live in this moment.
Merriam Webster describes passion as "intensity of feeling or expression". Take off the insulation you have wrapped around yourself and allow this intensity of feeling to penetrate into your everyday life. You will be amazed at how differently you will see everything and everybody.
