MODERN FAIRYTALE

(written in March 2007)

Once upon a time there was a little house in a town of the bolognese province, it was tiny, but very cosy and it had all the necessary, it hosted a couple of young ones in love. The girl had daydreams about continuing to live forever with her fiance', to have a simple and quiet life, to care about the house and to see her interests become a real job, to marry him soon and to build a beautiful family with a couple of wonderful children; the boy had the same desires, but also another thought boiled nonstop in his mind.

One day, while the girl was doing her houseworks, the boy called her at home, he felt very anxious and excited, quickly he told her the news: at his job they would have sent him to work in another city, close to his parents, it was just his aspiration for some years, since when he was forced to go away from his family just because of his job. The girl replied him to accept, she thought that anything would be changed, in that period she was at home without a job and she wanted him to fulfil his desire, so she dreamed to reach him over there and start a new life together.

The boy accepted the offer and left in a summer day by his car which was stuffed of baggages, to reach his parents and start to work in the other city; the girl felt his heart crying, in that day she could not stop to see her tears falling down like a river in flood, she realized that she made a big mistake and felt like by that moment anyone could have changed the facts.

The boy lived with his family and adapted slowly to the different working rhythms in that city, every week went back home and spent his days off with the girl, who will find very hard to be suddenly alone for days.
Very soon he understood that something went wrong in the happiness of the couple, despite the huge love for the parents and the desire of rejoining to them as soon as possible, he realized that they had to choose responsibly and forever the most appropriate place where to live together; the girl in those days founded the way to think a lot, she often spent the days in a meditative and absent mood, she knew that it would have been helpful sometimes to lay down on the bed to listen to her solitude and let it go, but also her deepest desires and her gumption.

The two young ones looked for a solution together, they made the decision that he had to ask to go back to work where he was before, so they sent the request form and waited for the result, the girl got used to her
