Best blogs on the US election 2008

"HyerStandard.com" Offers Excellent Coverage and is Quite Entertaining:

www.HyerStandard. com is my pick, it's a website focusing on the current political atmosphere, the primaries which are on presently in full swing, all with a hint of pop culture and humor. The site: www.HyerStandard.com is somewhat "young" being as though it is only 3 months old, however you wouldn't be able to tell that from the looks of the site.

I definitely recommend everyone at least checks the site out, while it does lean left, HyerStandard manages to be fair handed and critical of Democrats just as quick as it is of Republicans. Great site, good videos, and has the news as quick if not quicker then any other political site I browse.

The creator of the site just recently finished up school and is passionate about politics and everything that surrounds it. I believe www.HyerStandard.com really has managed to find the perfect medium in reporting both important political happenings and important issues that the 20 something year old cares about. And in a way that is both entertaining and informative.

Most political blogs are news driven, and as such political bloggers will link to articles from news web sites, often adding their own comments as well. Some political blogs heavily feature original commentary, with occasional hyperlinks to back up the blogger's talking points. Many of these blogs comment on whatever interests the author, as befits the blogger's political leanings, personal knowledge base, and momentary interests.

Constantly promoting The Democratic National Platform is an official statement of the Party's position on a wide variety of issues. Each issue category included in the Platform is a "plank." A new Platform is adopted every four years by the Democratic National Convention.

The Democratic Party has a long and proud history of representing and protecting the interests of working Americans and guaranteeing personal liberties for all. The 2000 National Platform emphasized three key Democratic Party ideals: (1) Prosperity - sustaining and strengthening the economic growth that brought opportunities to so many Americans in the 1990s; (2) Progress - paying attention to the aspects of our lives that cannot be measured in economic terms but which have a deep impact on our everyday existence; and (3) Peace - more than just the absence of war it means protecting America's security wherever it is endangered and promoting democratic values around the world.

HyerStandard.com is my pick for the best 2008 Politically Oriented blog that is covering the current Presidential Election.
