Marco Island, Florida should really be called Little Oahu because it is shaped a little like the Hawaiian island, has a similar climate, and marinates in warm-hearted waters. It is situated at the northernmost Ten Thousand Islands that are strung along the southwestern coast of Florida like a jewel necklace, with Marco Island appearing to be one of the clasps. And that is just what the island does. It grabs our attention. It beckons us to come sunbathe on its alabaster white beaches while it wraps its never-ending warmth around us.
