Whether you have an idea for a new business, or ideas that might help your business improve, it is important to be aware what is available.
1.Write an overview of what the business has to offer;
Have a list of the different products or services you're making available for the market.
Secondly, think about the structure and management of your business.
How many staff will be needed?
Do they need any special training, skills, qualification?
How many people will be managing the business?
Where is it going to be operated from? Do you have the facility, or would you have to rent one?
Are you planning to interact with your customers through a website?
Will you be able to operate the website yourself or would you have to hire more staff?
While answering these questions, you might be thinking of others methods that could help you have a clear idea of what your business is doing, and how it is going to be managed.
2.Write a Statement of Purpose. What are the most important things your business will need to achieve? Have a list of your goals.
3.Identify the place of your business.
Know what the position of your business within your industry is. Is the demand in this sector increasing? Are customer familiar with the type of product and services you are about to deliver?
4.Make a SWOT analysis of your business. This will allow you see visualize how you can improve it and emphasize its strengths.
Identify the Strengths of your business. From your skills, the effectiveness of your staff, to the location of your office, the price of your product and the quality of the customer service you are ready to deliver.
Have a list of the Weaknesses of your business.
Is the marketing strategy you are willing to use the best for your business? Is your staff motivated in the success of your business? Listing the weaknesses of your business will help you take the adequate measures to minimize them, and raise its strengths.
Opportunity
Describe what will be the advantages your business will offer to customers. Why will they benefit from purchasing your product, but also what other advantage can you bring to the industry?
Threats
Know your competition and other factors that could be hazardous to your business. If others are delivering the same products or services as your business is, why would a customer purchase from you?
Finally,
5.Visualize where you want your business to be in the future. Create a list of goal for the upcoming years. Once you know your goals, set a list of specific objectives that will allow your business to reach these goals. There can be things such as improving your staff training, motivate them, or ways to improve the relationship with your customers.
These are the basics of your business plan. They will allow you to have a clear idea of what your business will be like. Additionally this analysis will encourage you to undertake research to better identify the competition but also to expand your success.
