Top five movies of all time

Choosing the top 5 movies of all time is extremely difficult for me. It isn't a totally subjective list, however, because the list isn't of my 5 favorite movies. I am basing this list partially on what I like, but also what movies have captivated viewer's worldwide.

5. Schindler's List (1995)- Steven Spielberg's masterpiece follows the life of German businessman Oskar Schindler (Liam Neeson) during the holocaust. An enormously wealthy man, Oskar decides to build multiple factories for Jews to work in after witnessing the cruel treatment of the Jewish people. Instead of being shipped to their likely deaths at the infamous concentration camp, Auschwitz, Oskar makes a lengthy list of Jews who will work for him. He, in turn, is saving their lives by offering them work. Meanwhile, he is stroking the ego of the ruthless Amon Goeth (Ralph Fiennes), a German officer, so he can continue to save lives. With his determination and financial power, Oskar manages to save the lives of over 1,100 Jews. This movie is nearly perfect in all aspects; the acting, writing, and film-making were all top-notch. This movie was nominated for nearly 100 awards, and actually won 70 different awards!

4. "Psycho" (1960)- From the genius mind of Alfred Hitchcock, "Psycho" is the greatest horror movie of any generation. A truly great film captivates the human imagination, and this movie easily meets that criteria. The story is of a lonesome, desperate woman who leaves town after stealing a large sum of money from one of her boss's clients. On a dark and rainy night, she decides to pull over at a road-side motel to get some rest. What she finds at this hotel is an odd young desk clerk named Norman Bates (Anthony Perkins), who eventually murders her. Through a series of murders, we see Norman's horrific character revealed throughout this chilling movie. Norman was controlled by his mother throughout his early years and, in turn, killed her. Disturbingly, he dresses her deceased body and leaves it in the house beside the family-owned motel. Throughout the movie Norman talks to his dead mother, and takes on her persona as he murders the motel's female patrons. Hitchcock does a masterful job of telling this story and creating true terror in the viewer's mind. He never actually shows the murders in their entirety, leaving the imagination to fill in the blank pages. He believed what the human mind could conjure up is far worse than anything he could put on the screen. The famous "shower scene" is just
