(Some Facts About Vitamins)
You'd think that being a vegetarian you've got all angles covered when it comes to being healthy right? Actually vegetarians may have deficiencies of the nutrients such as B 12, calcium and iron. People who just want to maintain low fat diets can suffer from Vitamin E deficiencies as well. Our body requires calcium to keep our bones from becoming brittle and weak. Vitamin D walks hand in hand with calcium, you need Vitamin D to absorb the calcium into your body.
A deficiency in Vitamin B 12 can actually mimic certain mental defects, the wrong diagnosis may be made because of the similarities between B 12 deficiency and Alzheimer's disease. Without the help of Vitamin E people may be more likely to get heart disease, prostate or bladder cancer. A symptom Vitamin K deficiency is uncontrolled bleeding.
