The importance of self-image in the business world

other thing that comes to attention a lot of the time is that the golden rule of not wearing open-toed shoes to business meetings is very often broken. As a guideline, wear court shoes to work, client meetings and anything to do with business. This looks strictly professional. Open heels are alright, but ensure the toes remain undercover.

2. Mood

Your thoughts primarily affect your mood. Every negative thought you have resounds in your mind and worsens your performance. On the other hand, a positive thought will make you happy and can even override many negative thoughts. Notice what your mind is doing is it constantly having pessimistic thoughts? Does it try to see the bad in the good for no apparent reason? Are your thoughts continuously affecting how you feel? Are your thoughts being silently manipulated by others? The way the mind works is that it notices the patterns in your facial features (physiognomy) and reflects your actual mood accordingly. So if you are smiling, pretty soon, you will feel happy. Now if you walk into a meeting frowning, your performance would be even worst. Try this the next time you are doing a presentation or going to a critical meeting.

Food is another aspect which can affect your mood. Studies show that some types of depression are even linked to the way you eat. Try changing what you have for breakfast porridge oats give a lot of energy if eaten for breakfast. Barley porridge and borage oil (or starflower
