Testimonies: Dates from hell

I was out one Saturday night, at a club and I spotted this good looking guy on the dance floor. We both met each other's eyes and shared the occasional flirty smile and eventually we ended up right next to each other. We ended up starting a conversation which revolved around joking about his dance moves. Before I left he asked for my phone number and said that he would give me a call during the week to catch up. I thought this guy was nice and I was looking forward to going out with him.

The very next day around lunch time he sent me a text message. It came across like it was written by a two year old but I let it slide as a lot of people get lazy and use short hand when it comes to text messages. The message was basically saying that he had a good night and he asked what I was up to tonight. I said 'no plans as yet' and his reply was 'Ok Cool'. I didn't think much of that message but then the next day I got the same kind of message asking me what I was doing Monday night. I replied 'Not sure yet'. He replied 'Ok'. I was assuming that when he asked what I was doing, he was trying to see if I was free so he could ask me out.

He sent the same message with the same question on Tuesday night, Wednesday night, Thursday night and Friday night. Eventually I was fed up with him continually asking what I was doing but not if I wanted to do something with him- I replied 'Why?' to his 'What are you doing tonight?' question. His reply to that message was 'just seeing what you're doing'. I didn't bother writing back. Then he sent me a message asking me if he was wasting his time. By this point I was a little confused as to why this seemingly normal guy was acting so weird and immature so I sent back a message that said, 'If you would like to do something with me just ask- I wouldn't have given you my number if I wasn't interested.' Then he replied, 'What are you doing tomorrow night?'. I just happened to already have plans which I communicated to this guy. Then he kept sending messages saying, "am I wasting my time trying?' or 'should I move on' so I said...

'To be quite honest you have acted really weird and I'm freaked out now, please never message me again!'.

I just don't think I could go out with someone who has no idea about how to put a sentence together, who sends weirdo text messages and keeps asking if I'm wasting their time, especially when its my time that was wasted trying to decipher and respond to terrible text messages.
