Dry vermouth was first added to gin in 1843 and this became very popular combination called Gin and French. It is a mystery who created the recipe, but one is sure, this cocktail is a fashion item, whose contents change with the time.

There are so many variations on that drink, that are not even close to the taste of the classic one. Now they are more creative, fruity or with milk shake flavor, and here are some of the recipes that I line the most.

ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS

Fill a mixing glass with ice.

2 oz Vodka or Citrus Vodka
1 oz Cranberry Juice

Shake and strain into chilled glass
Top with 1 oz Champagne and garnish with a twist.

AMBER MARTINI

Fill a mixing glass with ice.

1 oz Vodka or Vanilla Vodka
oz Amaretto
Hazelnut Liqueur

Stir and strain into the chilled glass.

BADGERTINI

1 oz. Vodka
oz. Sloe Gin
oz. Triple Sec or Red Curacao
oz. Lime Juice

Combine ingredients in a shaker with ice. Mix well and strain in to a chilled cocktail glass.

BANANA CREAM PIE MARTINI

3 oz Vodka
Dash Banana Liqueur
Dash Irish Cream
Shake and strain into chilled glass.

BANANA SPLIT MARTINI

1 oz Vanilla Vodka
oz Banana Liqueur
oz strawberry Liqueur
oz Dark Crme de Cacao

Shake and after that fill with milk. Stir and pour into the martini glass.

BERMUDA TRIANGLE

3 oz Citrus Vodka
Dash of Peach Schnapps
Dash of Amaretto
Dash of Orange Liqueur
Dash of Banana Liqueur
Dash of Pineapple Juice
Dash of Cranberry Juice

Shake and strain into chilled glass.

BLACK MARTINI

3 oz Gin
oz Blackberry Brandy

Stir and strain into chilled glass. The garnish is lemon twist or black olive.

BLIND MELON

1 oz Melon Liqueur
oz Vodka
oz Rum
oz Triple Sec

Shake and strain into chilled martini glass.

BRAVE COW MARTINI

3 oz Gin
oz Coffee Liqueur

Stir and serve in chilled glass.

CANDY APPLE MARTINI

3 oz Apple Vodka
oz Cranberry Juice
Dash of Grenadine

Shake and strain.

CANDY CANE MARTINI

2 oz Vanilla Vodka
1 oz White Chocolate Liqueur
1 oz Peppermint Schnapps

Shake and strain into chilled glass. Top with Grenadine and garnish with candy cane.

CHOCOLATINI

2 oz. Vodka
1 oz. Godiva Chocolate Liqueur
Cocoa Powder

Wet rim of a Martini glass and dip in cocoa. Combine Vodka and Godiva Liqueur in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well . Strain into the Martini glass.

CHOCOLATE CARAMEL MARTINI

3 oz Chocolate Vodka
oz Caramel Liqueur

Shake and strain into a glass that has been decorated with swirls of caramel and chocolate syrup.
