Moral issues of abortion

In America, we are proud to wear the term "land of the free". And that we are. But at what cost? Abortion has ravaged our land for many years, and still we are blind and deaf to the cries of the unborn. We have bought into a lie and sold ourselves to slavery over this issue. Who is man to stand between life and death and choose who gets to live and who dies? To this end we are most certainly not free. We are in the midst of the greatest Holocaust the world has ever witnessed and it is taking place right in our own nation with by our own free will and permission because we refuse to see it for what it is.

Abortion has stolen 20% of our generation, and like Abel, their blood cries from the ground for justice. What is the difference from life to life? Whether it be the Jews of the World War, or the unborn, they are unwanted; their voices are ignored and forever silenced all in the name of the "right to choose" just because we can! Again i ask, who are we end a life before it's time? Do they not have the right to live and breathe and love as they were created to do? Do they not hold a purpose and a destiny just as you and I? If someone were to give us a death sentence without cause, would we not fight with everything in us for our right to live? I would.

And so like William Wilberforce, we must fight for the right and lives of those who are not being given a voice. Even if it is simply putting a piece of red duct tape across your mouth with the word LIFE written on it. It is NOT a violent revolution of action that we need, it the unveiling of revelation to see and hear what we have been blinded by and desensitized to.

How long will we stand back and watch as the future of this nation dies in the womb. This is not simply a political issue, it is a moral issue as well. When we stand in the place of God we are treading on dangerous grounds. Not only is it not our call to make as mere men, in reality, it is murder to willingly and knowingly take the life of another human being. Some argue that circumstances may arise where it is permissible-for instance- in a situation of a woman being raped and getting pregnant afterwards. What is the difference between taking this life, and the act of an innocent child being murdered in cold blood in their own home? In the story of Dr. Seuss's "Horton Hears A Who", the plumb line of the whole story is, "a person's a person no matter how small". And this movie coming out is so timely and needed for us to see what is happening right now in our nation and even abroad. God can speak through the most unlikely ways if we will take the time to listen. There is never a good enough reason to end the life of an unborn child- it is a child just as much inside the womb as it is when it comes out; with all the normal body parts, it sees, it hears, and it FEELs!

How much more will it take for us to see what is blatently in front of us?
