THE SEED OF LIFE
The flower blooms in summer,
but with the winter fades and dies,
but born anew life comes again,
and the new will breathe a sigh.
The seeds of life lay scattered,
from whence the place they came,
and so it is from age to age,
life will come again,
the trees will yield again,
and bear their ageless fruit,
for life springs oe'r amid the wind,
from whence it first took root,
and so it is with all mankind
we arise from first we lay,
and like the seed springs to life
we all must come again.
